Dr. Chanda Griessel, MD

Dr. Chanda A. Griessel of Triad Ophthalmic Physicians, PLLC, is a Board-Certified ophthalmologist specializing in adult routine eye care, eye care for diabetic patients, cataract surgery, dry eye, and eyelid pathology. With an office conveniently located in the heart of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, her caring staff treats an array of eye-related needs.

Dr. Griessel is originally from Iowa. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Houston in Houston, Texas, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Griessel went on to complete her medical degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine.

She completed residencies in both family practice and ophthalmology. She completed her family practice residency at Quad Cities Genesis Family Practice Program in Davenport, Iowa, and completed her ophthalmology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where she was Chief Resident in the Department of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Griessel founded her own practice in 2006 in Winston-Salem, NC. She was awarded Section Chief for Novant Hospital Department of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Griessel holds board certifications with the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Family Practice. As an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Griessel can help you overcome any eye-related ailment you may endure.

Dedicated to helping you with all of your ophthalmology needs, Dr. Griessel enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients. Treating patients like friends is an important part of the way she cares for each patient individually.

When she’s not busy in the office, Dr. Griessel enjoys spending time with her husband, Adam, and their two boys. Together, they enjoy traveling, caring for their animals (there’s a lot!), and following Texas A&M Football!
